About

UK Sling Libraries Network is a project created in 2011 to support the growing number of sling libraries and sling hire services. The aims of this project are:

  1. To make sling libraries/sling hire services easy to find and use, so that more parents (and babies) can find their perfect sling (or two)
  2. To spread the love of babywearing 🙂

    1. Hi Maggie
I would love to get in touch to talk about the benefits of baby wearing. I am a journalist researching the benefits.

    1. Hi Nikki, we will soon have a guide on setting up a library. There is a dedicated forum on naturalmamas.co.uk for those running or thinking of running a library.
      Hope this helps, Alfia

      1. Hi, I am interested to know more about this guide you mentioned on your post. Is it already posted somewhere? Thanks!

  1. Hi i live in hurstpierpoint west sussex and would like to hire a sling please and cant find a sling library! Could you help me please. many thanks.

    1. Hi Micella, have you looked at South East listings in our directory. If nothing is close enough to you then try Internet based libraries – they are at the bottom of the list. Good luck, hope you find something suitable.

    1. Hi Alison, thank you for your comment. UK Sling Libraries Network is a not-for-profit community project and as a result we are unable to carry out any commercial activities. Selling used slings, even not-for-profit is covered by the Trading Standards and unfortunately it gets a bit too complicated for a volunteer project. There is a FSOT (For Sale or Trade) board on naturalmamas.co.uk, thebabywearer.com and some groups on facebook where you buy and sell used slings privately. I hope this helps. Thanks, Alfia
